Ammouliani Island Boat Cruise with Banana Beach Visit & Transfer

4/5
105 reviews

You know you're on holidays when you find yourself in sunshine with a balmy sea breeze washing over you. On this cruise, you'll explore the waters between Athos and Sithonia peninsulas, enjoying swimming stops and free time in Ammouliani town.

You'll board the ship at Ormos Panagias and laze on deck as it cruises across the Singitic Gulf to Ammouliani island. Explore its only village, strolling past dinky stone houses towards the tiny main square, where you'll find St Nicholas's Church and a dinky market to grab local products.

Next, you'll set sail again for one of Ammouliani's most beautiful beaches, where stretches of sand melt into clear waters. Spend a couple of hours soaking up the sun and swimming in the sea before a light lunch is served. On the way back, when reaching the sandy shores of Sithonia, we'll weave through islets scattered across the sea until your captain drops anchor. Enjoy another chance to swim or lounge on deck before we head back to shore.

Lovely boat, great destinations, good lunch, overall good. The only downside was there were too many passengers on board. Would still recommend

We had a really lovely day. Enjoyed all of it. The time at the beach was about right. The prices for drinks both on the boat and at the stops were all very reasonable.

The boat was full when we arrived. We joined a queue and I thought the excursion must have been double booked. Nonetheless everyone was herded into the remaining space. I'm sure it was safe and legal but it was cramped and uncomfortable.

There were far too many plastic chairs on the boat, with everyone sitting extremely close together. It felt more like being on a refugee boat heading to Europe than on a sightseeing cruise. There was no private space, and it was almost impossible to walk around the deck to take photos of the scenery. On the upper deck, the forward view was blocked by a lifeboat and other lifesaving equipment, so if you were sitting down, you couldn't see anything ahead.
