Halkidiki boat trip with Neos Marmaras visit, swimming and lunch

4.3/5
67 reviews

Slow down and ease into a day where you'll escape the crowds and experience a little laidback luxury as you cruise around the western shore of Halkidiki's Sithonia Peninsula. Helene, a local guide, says “this tour takes us to some of my favourite spots. Spathies Beach has secluded coves without the usual hustle and bustle of the resorts, while Neos Marmaras offers a balance of cosy tavernas and traditional Greek charm, with modern bars and facilities.”

You'll head to Nikiti Port where your boat awaits. From here, you'll sail down the coast of the Toroneos Gulf before dropping anchor at Spathies Beach for your first swim stop. Helene adds, “make sure you grab a snorkel and mask to make the most of this hotspot for parrotfish and damselfish – you may find an octopus hiding in rocky reefs, too.” Then, it's back on board to sail towards Neos Marmaras Village.

There's free time for a wander around the village, where you can shop for souvenirs or chat with the friendly locals – it's the best way to soak up the culture. Then, you'll return to the sea and sail to Kelyfos Island, affectionally known as Turtle Island, while enjoying a light lunch on board. The cliffs of this tiny island make for some curious-looking cave formations at its edge that beg to be explored. Take the plunge off the side of the boat and swim around this uninhabited land. Or, if your idea of fun is simply basking on the deck with some music and a cold drink in hand, then feel free to unwind. Whatever floats your boat, you'll want to drink in the coastal views as you sail back to the harbour after a day of escapism.

Very nice family, the boats perfect size so not to many people on it, food was nice, drinks ok, maybe abit of talking from the staff about the area. The toilet was very low to the ground so the ladies struggled abit, but nothing major to complain about. Nice day out

The boat could’ve done with being a little more comfy having space to lounge around. Otherwise very good trip, very good service and meal lovely.

The whole trip was fantastic. The staff on the boat were really friendly and attentive. The locations where we stayed to swim were beautiful. The food that was served was really good, simple but really tasty. My only criticism was that there were Reps at the hotel to say we were getting on the right coach. As a family we would really recommend this trip. :-)

Lovely trip with only 28 passengers making it much more relaxed. Family run boat and the Fsmily were attentive and liberal with drinks etc. a couple of nice swim stops plus a village visit and a lunch of souvlaki rice salad and bread was prepared on board with a rear deck bbq., Highly recommend this trip
