Afitos by Night

4.1/5
238 reviews

A warm welcome at the beachside village of Afitos awaits on this evening excursion. It's the place to be on the weekends, too, with live music, shops and traditional tavernas churning out steaming hot plates of delicious food. You'll be dropped off in the village for the evening where you can eat, drink and do as much or as little as you want.

On arrival, you'll soon be swept away by the lively atmosphere that takes over the village every weekend. You'll be shown around by your guide, before around three hours to enjoy as you wish. Perhaps browse the shops for souvenirs or sip on an ouzo while live music comes and goes in waves.

Then there are tavernas and bars overlooking the sea where you can grab a cocktail or a bite to eat with some impressive views. And with your return transfer already sorted, you don't need to worry about the drive back. It's a fun-filled night out in a pretty corner of Halkidiki.

We weren’t told there would be a guide so when there was it was a lovely surprise. She was very good - clear and to the point. Directions were appreciated. Enjoyed the view and the village liveliness. Where we ate was a excellent - Ambrosia

Excellent guide and beautiful village. Had a great meal at Ambrosia restaurant But we hadn't been told when booking that there was a 200 metre walk downhill to the village from the coach and therefore an uphill walk when coming back. Some struggled with that and there were a couple if steep slopes in the village

Waste of time. It is a lovely village but so little to do. The shops are either local art or tat shops. Our guide was difficult to understand and hear. We had a nice meal in a Taverna and there are several Tavernas but really nothing else. Getting back to our hotel after midnight endorsed just how much of a wasted evening we endured. Would never do this or a similar trip again!

It is a lovely Greek village with original buildings. We had a good authentic Greek meal and enjoyed folk music in the square. It is busy given the amount of visitors but we didn’t find it overwhelming. There are lots of shops with many selling tourist trinkets. We were surprised that it was not expensive to eat or drink. It was a lovely evening, but quite hilly.

An enjoyable evening, beautiful place with great views and restaurants. If the guide had a microphone that would have been better, as it was hard to hear in a large group.
