Traditional Sithonia Tour

4.4/5
95 reviews

Secluded bays, sprawling pine forests and tiny fishing villages decorating the coastline – you can never tire of the Sithonia Peninsula's scenery. But on this full day tour, we'll go beyond its good looks and unravel the secrets of the region. There'll be visits to traditional villages knockout photo stops, plus local honey tasting.

Travelling past rows of olive groves towards Parthenonas Village, you'll be able to soak up all the colours of Sithonia. You'll be shown the best photo spots and have free time for a coffee, too. Next, well stop by Torononi village for a quick photo stop and then call at Porto Koufo harbour.

You'll get the chance to swim and sunbathe when we arrive at the coastal village of Sarti. Unwind by the water, or opt to have lunch at a seaside taverna to complete your day. To round off your Sithonia experience, we'll drive to Nikiti where you can try some local, delicious pine honey.

To many beach photos shots. Coffee morning stop a lovely village in the hills with lovely views and good history on how the village came into being through the honestly. Harbour stop interesting insight into conference that ended up with the high ranking officials dying in a helicopter disaster. Not much to see at lunch beach stop and when directed to guides restaurant choice it was overcrowded and extremely noisy we left and found our own reastraunt. Honey stop a waste of time with one toilet

The guide was very knowledgeable and spoke in great detail about the area and his experiences there since he was very young. The coach driver was also excellent as he negotiated very narrow lanes and village streets. We enjoyed the views and the sights on the trip and there were frequent stops which was good to breathe fresh air and avoid travel sickness.

Positive: Guide was pleasant, organised and knowledgeable in delivering cultural history & facts of the visited area. Negative: It is in poor taste to remind guests who have already paid for the trip, that a bag is pasted around on the coach for a monetary tip for the attending driver and guide. I would normally have given a tip from my own free will, because I was actually asked, I didn't.
