Perched on Halkidiki's eastern peninsula, Mount Athos is a Greek treasure that's strictly off limits to visitors. But you'll get a good look at the place with this full day boat trip. Cruise by the cliff-hugging monasteries of the world's only monastic republic before anchoring up for lunch onboard. Stopping at a nearby beach, there'll be time for swimming and sunbathing, too.

We managed to get a comfy seat, unfortunately we were surrounded by chain smokers, there was a constant plume of smoke from every direction on the boat, instead of that nice fish sea air! The food was few tomatoes and some rice and small meatball type things. Could have done without the roasting grotty beach stop on the way back, go to see the monasteries and then come back would have been enough tbh.

The food was awful, I am gluten free so was given rice, dried beans and tomatoes, I didn' touch it so had to buy a bag of 3 euros crisps, the drinks was also expensive 5 euros for a glass of horrible wine, the photographer was sp pushy and annoying. The coach was not air conditioned and you was lucky to get a seat next to each other. Told it would be 200 yards to walk to the ship, it was more like half a mile. The best part of the trip was seeing the dolphins that was amazing. Trip overpriced.
