Thessaloniki Visit with Guided Walk

Enjoyed the entire trip

Very nice spending day with about two hours guided walk, about four hours free time enough for lunch, visit White Tower and harbour. Nice city with massive tourists and restaurants, cafee and sun weather. Not recommend for walking disabilities.

Complaint made to Dimitris our hotel rep. Badly organised trip The trip amounted to us being taken to the old city wall and left for 20 mins for a coffee . Then through a few streets into the centre by coach . When coach stopped the only guided walk was to the cathedral which was interesting . From there she took us through a street and then left us for about 4 hours to walk around . Nothing else shown on foot . Told to meet no later than 4pm. At 4pm no coach . Coach arrived nearly a hour later

On the 1st stop the guide disappeared while we were waiting to get my wheelchair from the coach. The 2nd stop she told us where the ramp was then disappeared again, didn't tell us where to meet her, so any talks she gave we missed. She was friendly and she answered questions when asked, but had she waited til we could catch up it probably wouldn't have been necessary

Positive: Guide was pleasant, knowledgeable in social history and World historical facts. We visited different areas. Negative: I booked & payed for this trip in the UK at a TUI store, before the holiday. The hotel Rep informed me, because it was still ' low season' the trip wasn't on the date booked, but on another day, so I payed again for a different day. Travellers had to change coaches during the forward trip, which we were not informed of at the hotel booking stage, a chaotic experience.

Ich bin verärgert, dass wir nicht direkt vom Hotel Zelia abgeholt werden konnten, sondern vom Hotel Istion. Wir waren daher gezwungen die Taxikosten selbst zu übernehmen, ca. 50 Euro. Wenn ein Taxi kommen kann, dann doch auch ein Wagen von Tui?Ich wäre dankbar, wenn man mir die Kosten erstatten würde.
