Special Greek Easter event – Good Friday – 30th April 2027

We were a little bit sceptical after reading reviews from previous years, but we are so glad we went. Our TUI rep told us that they had changed both the guide and the restaurant after the feedback last year. The guide, Dimitri, was so knowledgeable- a local who was very much part of the community. He shared his own personal experiences as well as lots of other historical facts. The meal at Vasily’s restaurant was tasty, very filling and traditional. The whole evening was extremely moving.

The guide had the time wrong and we missed the highlight of the tour. The rep sold us a tour wher we would see and follow the Easter procession to the church. This was totally miss guided and was not experienced. The food service was also very slow and not to a very good standard leaving us still hungry. As we missed all the procession, the tour had to finish early and the guide disappeared and was unable to get the coach to return for us. We were left abandoned so we had to hire a taxi back.

The group was too large for the tour - we couldn’t move around well and it was hard to stay together. There were also many young children despite this being an adult experience. The food - we hadn’t been asked for allergies etc. in advance so the restaurant weren’t prepared and so food was delivered at very different times, cold and tasteless. We were promised a welcome drink but didn’t get one. We were there to see a procession for Good Friday but missed it because the timings were wrong.

The event would have been great but unfortunately the guide got her times mixed up, so we didn't get to be part of the procession or the Mass. The guide was lovely and very knowledgeable and she explained a lot about the Old Town but next time people coming from our hotel need to arrive and be near toilets due to the time it takes to get to Rhodes and go straight to eat, then some tour of the Old Town but not as much. Then obviously be on time for the actual event. We did see the church ..

The whole experience was bad. My wife has a bad foot and we were never warned about the bad conditions of the roads so she ended up in pain. The food was changed and it was horrible we had to buy our own food. The parade time changed so we missed the whole thing as no one told us. The guide became rude with us at the end

Katherina hat kompetent, sachkundig und sehr sympathisch durch die Stadt und das Event geführt. Meine Familie und ich empfehlen die Tour uneingeschränkt.
