It's just a one-hour ferry ride away from Kamiros Port, but a visit to Chalki feels like a trip back in time. Rugged and arid, it's the smallest inhabited island in the Dodecanese. The only village, Emporio, is all pastel-coloured cascading down to the waterfront. Enjoy free time to mingle with the friendly locals, swim in a secluded beach or take selfies by the dinky chapels dotted throughout the island.

Beautiful destination. Glad we booked the free time option. The town was lovely. Locals very friendly and helpful. Beach nice. Destination atmosphere was excellent. Bus was late arriving at port as the traffic was busy. Therefore the boat waited for us and we were rushed on and some instructions not very clear as a result. The cafe recommend by the rep wasn’t great.

Bättre utbildningen av guiderna och även att transport och upplägg på annat sätt. Har själv arbetat som guide innan och skulle inte ta hand om resenärerna på detta oproffsigt sätt. Kan tyvärr inte rekommendera denna utflykt.

Der Transfer war eine Zumutung!!! Wir haben uns für den Ausflug nach Chalki entschieden weil es unserem Hotel am nächsten war. Der Transfer wurde uns mit maximal 90 min. angegeben. Aber dann wurden auf der ganzen Insel die Leute aufgesammelt und wir saßen in unserem Urlaub 2x (hin und retour) sage und schreibe DREI Stunden im Buss. Wir hätten uns nie für diesen Ausflug entschieden wenn wir das Gewusst hätten!!! Und zu allem Überfluss war dann der so angepriesene Strand total verschmutzt.

Ein sehr schöner Tagesausflug, der gut organisiert war. Auf Chalki 5 1/2 Stunden Zeit. Das passt gut, genügend Zeit zum Baden und für einen Abstecher in eine der gemütlichen Tavernen. Unbedingt im Programm beibehalten!!!
