On this half-day outing, you'll explore Kos town under your own steam. As the island's capital, it offers up plenty of stuff to see and do. You'll be picked up from your hotel and dropped off in the centre, where the time's all yours to do as you wish.

Many make a beeline for the port, which lined with cafés and tavernas is a great spot to soak in the town's atmosphere while nibbling on meze. At the far end of the harbour is the castle, which was built by the Knights of St John back in the 14th century. Elsewhere in the town, you've got the Roman Baths, the Odeon and Ancient Agora as well as the shop-and-bar-lined Eleftherias Square.

And the recently renovated Archaeological Museum is packed with classical relics such as sculptures and mosaics. And Hippocrates' Plane Tree is a great spot for selfie. There's also the pebbly beach – an ideal spot to relax after all that sightseeing. Your transfer back will be ready at 13:30.

Stay slightly longer than 4.5 hours, we did have lunch there, but it was rushed due to having to return to the coach at 13:30, pick up ideally an hour later would have been better

We were the first pick up and last drop off taking 1.5 hrs each way. On way home changed number on bus which confused everyone. No guide or information given, no map so had to try and find everything ourselves. Much cheaper and quicker on public bus.

Bus driver was quite abrupt with some of the people when he came to pick us up, he could of calmly explained that he was not leaving till 13:30 not raise his voice and tell us that we could get on the bus but he would not put the engine on, we were not bothered about air con just wanted to get out of sun and sit down , I am disabled and can not walk far or stand for to long, but every one was back early as you were told if your not hear for 13:30 you’ll have to get a taxi back.

No rep on the coach, we were just dumped off on Kos town, the driver couldn’t tell us what time to return as he was going and another coach would pick us up. No guidance where to go, just dropped off and left to get on with it. Also, the coach was 20 mins late picking us up from our hotel. Return journey driver was much more pleasant although he left with 2 people still to return to the coach for the journey home.

He was asked as simple question about what time pick up was? His answer was “I don’t know, it will be a different driver and bus”. He answered rudely and aggressively. There was no pick up time on ticket. Luckily, another driver from a different bus was asked and we were given the right time. Left a sour taste. Not good enough!
