If you like the VIP treatment, you'll absolutely love this Blue Lagoon sailboat tour to Saona Island and Cotubanama National Park. Sailing from Bayahibe, you'll glide over the lagoon's translucent waters, soaking up the sunrays as you nurse a drink from the open bar. Lunch is at an exclusive beach club on Playa Palmilla. In the afternoon, swim among the sea stars. After a day of tropical bliss, return by motorboat.

We loved this excursion!! you are 100% paying for the beach and water though. the bus picked us up right at the front of our resort. the bus was very nice. the speed boat was ok. nice but VERY crammed. the tour guides were funny and kind. The island was beautiful and we got to see and touch starfish. The lunch buffet was better than we expected but not amazing. If you are planning on buying things, BRING CASH! Takes forever with card because there traders get no service. no phone service either.

Our tour guide abandoned us on Saona Island, told us 1600hrs to be ready to go, we checked over at 15:30 and he had already left - Then proceeded to be angry and rush us when we arrived back after we managed to sort ourselves a way back to mainland with a Spanish tour guide (None of us spoke each others language) Then got 5 customers, himself and a taxi driver into a taxi and drove us in an unsafe and dangerous manner back to the bus. Terribly ran and wouldn’t trust TUI with any excursions again

The staff on the catamaran were not good. One guy went around and was putting some sort of bandana hat on passengers without informing them that it costs money. Two mins later, the other lady staff followed behind and asked $5 each hat and said it was for the captain and staff. This was not appropriate, definitely didn’t deserve any tips after as they just made over $120 from what I counted of hats they put on guests. The tour guide was having a siesta at the back of the boat.

The sail boat took too long to get to the Lagoon. And provide some food on the boat. More time on the water especially the crystal clear lagoon!”

The island itself was good but much time in small bus from hotel to hotel then in a big bus then a small boat to get to the big boat. Too much time trying to sell us souveniers etc. Not enough time to enjoy the island. Very bad experience with TUI. My daughter got sick the night before, too unwell to travel. So just my wife and son went on the trip. I provided the receipt for the medicine purchased after a consultation with the pharmacist, but no refund or discount provided for another trip.
