Adventure Boogies

4.3/5
267 reviews

This wild buggy ride through the Dominican countryside makes for a morning of adrenaline-pumping adventure. As well as rumbling through rustic villages, you'll visit an organic farm and cool off with a swim in a cenote. There's no better way to put a bit of oomph into your holidays.

After pick-up, we'll head to a ranch for a safety briefing and the lowdown on Terracross buggies. Don your helmet, put on your belt and give it some welly. You'll zoom across the backwoods to the co-op farm. Your guide will tell you about and let you try traditional Dominican products such as coconut oil, chocolate tea, tobacco, rum, cocoa and, of course, the world-famous coffee.

Buggy driving can be a messy business, so you'll round up with a chance to freshen up with a swim in a cenote – a natural spring of crystal clear water.

All was really good. Quite pushy with trying to sell us certain things, but we're old enough to know how to deal with that 👍. The buggies themselves were great, plenty of staff making sure everyone was ok The visit the the cenote/spring in the cave was not quite where I'd expected, it was as if it was in an abandoned park. But having said that when we got there it was great Id definitely do it again,

It’s was an amazing experience overall and loved the fact that we could do this as a family travelling with kids. The cave was magical and the indigenous village was insightful. Just wish the cave was saved for last rather than part way through the experience as it would have made it more enjoyable

Very disorganized. Driver arrived 20 minutes late placed us with the wrong group . They didnt have enough 3 sitters so we had to wait 10 minutes extra for them to bring extra boogies, we were promissed free photos bc of the wait which we never received

The staffing when you come in tried to charge me for more than they charge my son, my son paid $30 paid for the googles and face covering the lady who was helping me told me that googles for me and my wife was $40 each plus a additional $10 for the face covering and that it was mandatory but no one else paid that price. She was ripping me off very bad customer service the buggies was fun but the lady we had was terrible. We will never go on this excursion with this company again.

Greeting upon arrival was good with clear instructions for our assigned group and to sign disclosure. But from there they switched the group we were assigned but did not communicate so our group was already in the ATVs. There were too many in the group and it was so dusty you couldn’t see or enjoy the ride. Then there was no instruction once we got out where to go. It was extremely disappointing and not worth the $ spent. Need fewer people in each group for a more intimate experience.

Fun trip. The initial time spent at the gift shop is very high pressure and unwanted. There was no demonstration of cigar rolling as promised by the person from destination travel. The cave was cool, but our guide didn't explain the process of what was going to happen down there in English. We ended up bringing our belongings in the water not realizing until later we were supposed to leave them in a designated area. We didn't know where to exit and there were no drinks provided as advertised.
