Sail to Catalina Island on this full-day tour, stopping to snorkel at La Pared, AKA The Wall, a national park home to a bunch of corals and sea life, like parrotfish, angelfish and sea turtles. Then, you'll continue to Catalina Island itself for a typical Dominican lunch on the beach. Afterwards, you'll head back to La Romana to visit Altos de Chavon, a replica 16th-century Mediterranean village – you'll find a Roman-style amphitheatre, art galleries and a lively art scene here.

We really enjoyed the boat trip and the staff were very helpful getting my wife and daughter on and off the boat. The guide Nathan was excellent. Our only criticism was we felt too much time was spent on the island and not enough at Altos de Chavon. We only had 35 minutes there which was not enough time to really enjoy the experience, but overall very pleased.

Great experience. The food on Catalina Island was not good! We decided to only have vegetarian choices, as the pork & chicken were bad to say the least. There was a fish option, but this came at a charge. We had already payed for the day, so we’re not prepared to pay for fish because the other meat oot were so poor

Saona Island beautiful, lunch lovely, see starfish but TUI experience not the best (viator much better). Guide didn't get off bus, we had to find him! Only 20min snorkel. First boat crew fab, Guide encouraged purchase of local $10 pina colada and tipping. His timings dodgy, told leaving Island at 1445, left at 1430. Trip back, cataraman sail ripped, took 2.5 hrs, crew not as engaging until want tip at end. Return coach dirty and full of empies and detour to drop guide off before last hotel!
