This morning tour takes sightseeing to the next level – you'll be ripping over country roads, diving into river valleys and scooting through typical ‘bateyes' by 4x4 buggy and/or powerful quads. It's got action, adventure and just the right dose of adrenaline to experience the thrill of the Dominican Republic's countryside.
Safety briefing done and helmet on, you'll be ready for the off – and the island's backroads and country trails will be your playground for the morning. Zoom along kicking up clouds of dust behind you, and stop every now and then for a view and some culture.
You'll ride through settlements around sugar mills, known as ‘bateyes', and even cool off in the sleepy waters of the River Chavon. Drinks, fresh fruit and a raw sugarcane tasting are on the menu, too, when you're in need of refreshment.
