Pick your way along the challenging 8km route of Imbros Gorge, surrounded by wonderful fauna and the steep vertical walls of the ravine. There's also a refreshment stop in Komitades, and the opportunity for a swim in Hora Sfakion.

As you stroll along, take in the views over the White Mountains as you head up to the starting point – the mountain village of Imbros. Here, you'll set off on your 3-4 hour hike, following pathways through wildflower meadows. The going never get too rough underfoot and the gradient is a gentle descent.

Enjoy a well-earned break at the end of the trail, with plenty of free time to take a refreshing swim in the waters off Hora Sfakion's tranquil beach or grab a bite to eat.

Anreise ab Ammoudara: als eines der letzten Hotels wurden wir um 8.10 Uhr abgeholt. Fahrt mit kurzer Pause zum Beginn der Schlucht. Viele Infos durch die Reiseleiterin während der Fahrt in 4 Sprachen. Wanderung war für uns in 2,5 Std. zu bewältigen. Andere brauchten ca. 4 Stunden. Die Reiseleiterin geht am Schluß. Am Ende der Schlucht Treffpunkt in einer Taverne wo wir auch sehr gut gegessen haben. Danach Fahrt nach Choras Fakion für einen 1 stündigen Badestop. Rückkehr im Hotel um 19.30 Uhr

De uitstap was zeer geslaagd. 1 minpunt was de zeer smerige toiletvoorziening in de Imbroskloof. Voor de rest geen opmerking.

De wandeling is prachtig, maar een uitdaging voor mensen die niet gewend zijn om een "flink" tempo aan te houden op niet vlak terrein. Ondanks de lange reis via diverse hotels, die het tot een lange dag maakte, was het een fantastische beleving.
