Amazonas Park and glass-bottom boat tour

4.1/5
450 reviews

It's all about Crete's wild side on this tour. You'll come face-to-face with monkeys, meerkats lemurs and more at Amazonas Park nature reserve and see a world below the waves with a glass-bottom boat trip. And in between, there's free time to chill out in Agios Nikolaos.

Your destination for the morning is Amazonas Park, an animal refuge, where you'll get up-close to some of the world's most unusual, beautiful and endangered animals. You'll also find out about their rainforest environments, and how we can help with conservation efforts.

At Agios Nikolaos town, you'll have a couple of hours to shop or grab lunch overlooking Mirabello Bay. Next, hop on to a glass-bottom boat for a trip in the bay. You'll glide out into the bay aboard a semi-submarine which features windows beneath the surface. Kids and adults will have a great time spotting the likes of loggerhead sea turtles and multicoloured fish darting around the rocks.

Coach ride was really good, the stop for lunch and free time at Agias Nikolos was very good. Glass bottom boat trip was very disappointing as we only saw 3 species of fish. The entrance to the Amazonas Park was a steep slope upwards and mostly all over the park generally, people should be told that it is very hilly

The glass bottom boat tour was awful we were all crammed into the bottom of the boat to see 1 speices of fish the whole way round and the amazona park we were rushed into the enclosure having spent 10 euros on the food to get told 5 minutes then out the lemurs.didnt even get chance to eat the cups I brought for me and my son so.that was a waste of money.... just an expensive taxi ride to another part of crete. im really unhappy with the whole experience and ill be writing a bad review too

Wasn't expecting to have to address the coach for the tour guide as she was going to arrive late with the rest of the party from Heraklion! Elounda party asked to leave the coach in Agios Nikolaos and wait for them.

Isabella was fantastic, very knowledgeable and delivered a great commentary in both English and German, full of interesting Cretan history and local culture.
