Saona Island highlights boat tour with buffet lunch

It was a very long day picked up 07:25 dropped od 20:00. Not impressed with buffet lunch.. Mid ocean swim stop brilliant Staff fantastic on boat and catamaran. At Island Sea shoes are essential to enter water as very much sharp shingle. Would I do again yes

This trip was not enjoyable at all. The travel time was 2 times what we were told, and we were totally disappointed with the experience on Soana Island - I feel like we did not even go to Soana Island. We were taken to a dirty crowded beach, full of people trying to sell us things. The food was terrible, the drinks were bad, the eating area was dirty and full of flies, the beach was crowded and there we not enough chairs for everyone.

The staff who picked us up and those that were on the boats were great, especially on the way home when they got involved with everyone up and encouraged us all to get up dancing. The food was okay but a little too basic, eg bread cut into thin slices rather than a bun, limited salad selection and pork with a lot of fat and bone, but there was plenty for everyone and it was well cooked

Too many people selling massages, jewellery etc on the island

The trip was not clear how much of the day I would be on a coach. The “guided tour” was basic information but most annoying was how cramped the speed boat was. It was not safe as I was on a small bench with 4 adults as were all the others and there was not enough room to get the life jacket on. The catamaran return was the worst I have experienced. There were no mats and the netting was tiny , tied together and no one was brave enough to see if it held weight of an adult.
