Taste of Tunisia tour

3.8/5
19 reviews

Nabeul hosts one of Tunisia's largest outdoor markets, and on this full day tour you'll get to combine some shopping with a spot of wine tasting. You'll spend the morning wandering and haggling your way around the market before heading to a nearby winery for lunch and a tasting of local wine.

Arriving into Nabeul's Friday market, you'll see an array of colourful things – from local pottery, to embroidery, mats, perfume and all the fruits and vegetables that have been piled high. Watch locals go about their daily shop, and go off in search of your own souvenirs to take home.

After some free time in the market maze, you'll travel into the wine-growing region, set among scented orange, lemon and olive groves. A freshly-prepared lunch will be served alongside a selection of wines for you to sip and slurp – but be warned, you don't spit it out in a Tunisian wine tasting.

Had an amazing time Great hotel Good food Amazing staff Went on 2 trips 1 to the zoo and Zulu dinner that was amazing. The other trip to the market and a chateau for wine tasting and lunch, the market was great the lunch lovely but could have maybe seen some of the wine production would have made the day perfect. On both trips the same guide he was a lovely man full of knowledge.

Tour guide very friendly. Ceramics shop okay, but expected to go direct to market. At the wine tasting there were about 10 bottles of different wines. We expected to be in a Vineyard & be told everything about the grapes, but all grapes were from the region, weighed and pressed. We had no idea of what we were tasting & could have been in Tesco checking what the label said. Nibbles on table were covered in flies. Our meal was very average at best & the experience was very disappointing.

Enjoyed the pottery shop, market was a crazy experience but not for me, my partner loved it. The winery, the food was delicious however the staff did not interact with the customers as their English wasn't great, no one from the winery gave any information about the wine, it was just left for you to taste, the tour guide was excellent though.

The guide was really great and driver was great. Going to market was a experience i didn't not like. Some many people I couldn't cope with that so after a hour we headed back to the coach. We were all giving a time to come back but one lady didn't we waited over 45 minutes and even the guide went back in to find with no luck.
