Mount Teide is the most popular attraction in Tenerife, and there's no better way to discover it than this hike. You'll start at 2,150m, with your guide pointing out the rare flora and fauna as well as the lava flows. Once you've acclimatized to the altitude, you can explore the Mars-like landscape and take in knockout views over Tenerife and the other islands.

The hike included three groups of about 80 people in total hiking near together and waiting for each other. The hike was only about 4km in a very busy central spot below mount Teide so the driver was unable to find a place to park initially. There were many other people following the same short trail. We stopped so many times and it took 2 and a half hours. However the scenery was stunning. I would not recommend this as it was too busy and not the peaceful hike in a small group I had imagined

Bra tur, litt kort men dels litt hard- stigning 200 m på 750m strekning.

José Gonzalez was onze fantastische gids. We kregen veel uitleg over fauna en flora. De gids wees voortdurend op de gevaren en waarom we de wandelpaden niet mochten verlaten ( bescherming van de unieke planten ). De gids paste zijn snelheid aan aan de traagschuim van de groep. Top
