Sailing the shores of Tenerife's towering volcanic coastline is one relaxing experience – and with this trip, it's made even more so from the sun-drenched deck of a catamaran. In between swimming, sunbathing and soaking up the scenery, there's even a chance to see pilot whales and dolphins as they leap and frolic in their natural habitat.

Cast off on this cruise from Porto Colon, and you'll enjoy a different perspective on the dramatic terrain of the island. While sunning yourself and feeling a cool breeze wash over you, your captain will sail into waters known for hosting pods of dolphins and whales. With luck, you'll get to spot these magnificent creatures and learn all about them.

Then, as the day heats up, we'll sail in the shadow of the island's incredible Los Gigantes cliffs before dropping anchor in Masca Bay to cool off with a swim. And to top it all off, you'll be pampered by the crew. There'll be complimentary drinks at the shaded bar and lunch on board.

Cost over a £100 to sit on a boat. Didn’t see any dolphins, fish or whales - infact saw nothing. Would have rather sat in hotel room and saved money. Then crew had cheek to ask for tips at end of trip. Daughter was bored silly but luckily had her phone. Just sat and watched people get drunk. Totally disappointed and waste of money and time!!

This was a lovely day out,. The staff were friendly and efficient. It was a long day with whale spotting at the end, after a cruise along the coast and a swim. It was quite busy on board, but it is a business, and there was room. Perhaps a little more commentary would have been nice along the cruise by the coast. Quite a few passengers were sea sick, perhaps more warning about the possibility of being unwell if you surfer sea stones would be beneficial

The catamaran was great and the staff very good. However food average and unimaginative. Swim stop very disappointing no life jackets offered so you could go into water so you could only go in if confident swimmer. Lacked atmosphere so felt as a group we just sat and stared out to sea.

The women who picked us up and organised us on to coaches waa very rude an D un helpfully. She said take 1 hrs 20 mins to get to boat it took 2 hours there and 2 hours back .and on boat trip see no whales or dolphins

Being advised before boarding that the smoking area were the rear seats, would have saved us having to move seats during trip. We assumed a smoking area everyone would use, so be returning to seats. Overall, trip was good. Nice to see the cliffs, pirate bay, the lava lines everywhere. Swimming in the Atlantic was a nice touch. Though expected to jump in (this would have been better). Food was poor, would have rathered not eat at all. Overall, could have been better. 7/10
