There's nothing quite like lying back and feeling the sea spray as the sun warms your body. And if lazing on deck sounds like your perfect day, then this Thassos cruise is for you. You'll enjoy a day soaking up the views and tucking into a fresh barbecue lunch between swimming stops.

First off, we'll head to the port where your boat awaits. Then you'll set sail into the Aegean. Your captain will strike a course along the coast, giving you panoramic views over the mountains, cliffs and dinky fishing villages. And around midday, you'll drop anchor at a secluded beach – one that's only accessible from the sea.

Dive in and swim in the clear waters, stretch out on the beach or grab a snorkel to check out the marine life. You'll be served a barbecue lunch on deck, after which you'll have more time to sunbathe or swim before sailing homewards. The captain will make other stops for swimming during the trip, too.

Cruise itself was excellent highlight of our holiday. No safety instructions given but the rep Jean-Paul is a gem. Going around talking to guests letting us know what's happening next and about the scenery etc. Food was excellent everyone had the very best day. Happy smiling faces.

Great day out, sailing from the old port in Thassos town to several bays in the south including Marble Beach and Makryammos. Each swim stop was around 40 minutes, and a bbq lunch was provided on board. Great crew, great atmosphere, great way to see the coastline of Thassos.

Good locations where we stopped to swim. Service was good from boat crew. Not over crowded and food was really nice. Would of liked some snorkeling gear to be available, to make this experience better.

A really lovely trip out and explore of some of the beaches in the south of the island. Plenty of opportunities to swim. Really grateful for TUI and the boat staff for looking after our child’s dietary requirements for the bbq onboard. Sometimes it was hard to hear what the captain was saying over the PA. All in all an excellent day trip well worth doing.

Overall, a great experience! The staff were lovely and the food was nice! We did feel the trip was a little overpriced as could get a similar trip which was not organised through TUI half the price. Our TUI rep was fantastic, really informative and helpful, and the trip was very well organised. The only thing that would have made it even better would be having sun loungers on the boat!

However biggest issues were some passengers jumping in the sea which became quite dangerous with children not looking where they were jumping, taking a run up to dive off the ship. Needs to have more tables so people can eat properly. Some passengers reserving several spaces to sit so they got best of the sun. Rep should have monitored the shop more than she did.
