Calling all adventure-seekers – this is your ticket to the rugged side of Crete. After a quick safety briefing, you'll head up into the mountains to roar through impressive natural gorges and splash through river crossings in a two-seater off-road buggy. There'll be plenty of pauses to take in the wild scenery and you'll get a taste of the local culture with pit stops at remote 12th-century Cretan villages. Refuel on caffeine and snacks at a traditional kafenion – a Greek coffee house – before heading back to Rethymno to put your feet up.

Tolles Erlebnis. Offroad ist mit viel Staub verbunden :-) Daher eher dunkle oder gemusterte Kleidung tragen. Wer hat, sollte auch ein Halstuch/Bandana mitnehmen. Ausflug ist definitiv empfehlenswert.

De gids had een zeer kort lontje! 5m afstand tussen de voertuigen moest gerespecteerd worden , doch bij zanderige wegen was dit niet zo evident. Op een bepaald moment reden we op zeer rotsachtige wegen. Mijn vrouw, die achter me reed, botste op een crote steen, met een lekke band als gevolg. De gids werd zeer kwaad op haar. Ze had die mozten gezien hebben. Zijn reactie was er totaal over!
