Want to explore Barcelona under your own steam? This trip is for the independent visitor who knows where they want to go and what they want to do. A great way to get into the centre of Barcelona without the hassle of crowded trains and long tedious journeys on public transport. The Catalonian capital has a little something for everyone, whether you want to tick off the top landmarks, or spend the day browsing boutique shops.

The best spot for a bit of retail therapy is La Rambla, a tree-lined avenue packed with fashion stores and chic coffee bars. In the Old Town you'll find Gothic churches, an ornate concert hall, and the mighty cathedral or head towards the port, and you can see the hippos and monkeys at Barcelona Zoo

Grab a taxi right to the heart of the city to Gaudi's most famous creation, the Sagrada Familia or travel to the west of the city for a tour of Barcelona's famous football stadium, Camp Nou.

We loved it from start to finish. Teresa was an excellent rep for the journey along the way with plenty of information about Barcelona and some top tips! She made the journey go quicker. We loved exploring the city and enjoyed our day out

We had a brilliant day on our own. Used the Metro Zline and it made our sight seeing a lot easier

Very disappointed in how this was sold to us. Issue with rep at our hotel. Enquired about nearest train station as we were thinking of getting the train, but rep didn’t give us this info, and instead said it would be much easier & quicker to go with TUI coach. Her exact words were “we don’t go around the houses like other companies. It’s a direct transfer that takes 50mins each way.” This was a lie, it took 1 hr 50 each way, because of several pick ups on route. This wasted so much time.

Unfortunately we didn’t get to go on this excursion, only because we were told by our receptionist at the Albertros apartments the wrong bus stop, we have been looking forward to this trip since we booked it, as the bus wasn’t available to pick us up outside our apartment’s we were given a different stop for collection and as we didn’t know the place that well we asked for directions and was given the wrong one, we was very disappointed and that’s £60+ down the toilet.
