As well as sinking your teeth into Greece, this trip allows you to give something back to the island of Skiathos. Among the highlights are a visit to the island's dog shelter, a guided walk in the hills and a Greek cooking demonstration from a villager in Agia Paraskevi.

At the start of the day, you'll visit the famous dog shelter of Skiathos in the hills above Troulos. Spend time at the shelter and join our guide for a one-hour walk through the hills. Then it's on to Maria's place in Agia Paraskevi. Maria was born and bred in Skiathos and is passionate about cooking. All her dishes are passed down through the generations.

Once the food is cooked, you'll get to enjoy a tasty traditional Greek feast. Lunch will be served with wine, soft drinks and water.

Guide, Michael was charming, funny and added to a soecial day. Very well organised at the dog shelter, lot's of effort made to manage the dog's welfare. Maria's cookery demonstration was very well delivered and interesting to try tradtional Greek dishes.

It was a wholesome day spent. Also afterwards at the sit down meal learning traditional Greek dish’s was amazing. The food tasted AMAZING and definitely one of my favourite meals during the whole trip! Definitely recommend this trip.

A great day. I was feeling a bit septical about the dogs being a tourist trip but all was good. The dogs were wagging their tails and excited to go on their walk. The staff and volunteers who care for them were clearly passionate about the dog's care and welfare. Please take some cash to buy something from their shop to promote their cause and help fund. The cooking experience was really interesting even though cooking not my thing ! The food was delicious..

Great experience taking the dogs for a little walk and seeing how they're looked after, the conditions were good and that was nice to see. The cooking experience was very enjoyable and informative a very nice lady as well, and the food was good too.

We asked your rep how much of the cost of this trip went to the dog shelter and was told Euro35. This is untrue, the dog shelter only receives 5 euro, we are very unhappy about the fact that we were lied to. All the very hard work those volunteers do and they rely on donations and it's appalling that a rich global company cannot pay a decent sum for this trip.
