Unforgettable Venice from Pula including Medulin

4.5/5
65 reviews

Built on more than 100 islands, Venice is famed for its network of dusky-blue canals, lined with elaborate architecture and criss-crossed by beautiful stone bridges. And this day trip from Istria to Venice sees you crossing the Adriatic Sea by boat for a chance to explore with free time in this romantic Italian city.

You'll arrive in style into San Basilio pier, right in the heart of Venice, to begin your discovery of 'La Serenissima.' As you wander through this fabled place, there's plenty of time to spot some of the city's highlights. Don't miss the legendary St Mark's Square – a piazza dominated by the beautiful Byzantine basilica of St Mark and its belfry.

Maybe take a gondola ride, find as many bridges as you can and dip in and out of classic eateries – there's loads to do here. You'll make your own way to the port to leave Venice in the early evening and return to Croatia having seen one of Italy's top cities.

The pickup and transfer to & from the port in Pula was efficient and well planned. The trip to Venice itself was with Kompas. Their guides onboard the boat and around the city were tremendous. We chose only to have water taxi to & from the St Mark’s Square and used the free time to explore Venice, including a gondola, Rialto, Doge’s Palace. Venice is an amazing experience, beautiful, romantic and highly recommended

We had a fabulous time in Venice. It was a long day but worth every minute. There was a film festival on so instead of getting the water taxis they organised a mini boat tour. It was really worth doing the trip.

We booked the venice trip because we wanted to take advantage of being able to see it while we could. The day in total was quite long withe the travel, but we felt that was part of the trip and anyway the guides on the boat were informatiive and witty which helped. We decided to pay the extra for the full package with a guide and it was well worth it. It made the day even more special , i would definatly recommend..it was a truly memorable and unforgettable day Thankyou tui and compass

It’s a long day but the guides were very informative and helpful. It was very hot but not rushed. Far better than wondering round aimlessly , so well organised. A bit costly added on to the actual cost but well worth it for us . Food at restaurant lovely and ample , within walking distance if rialto bridge
