Unforgettable Venice from Rovinj including Pula & Porec

4.7/5
44 reviews

Built on more than 100 islands, Venice is famed for its network of dusky-blue canals, lined with elaborate architecture and criss-crossed by beautiful stone bridges. And this day trip from Istria to Venice sees you crossing the Adriatic Sea by boat for a chance to explore with free time in this romantic Italian city.

You'll arrive in style into San Basilio pier, right in the heart of Venice, to begin your discovery of 'La Serenissima.' As you wander through this fabled place, there's plenty of time to spot some of the city's highlights. Don't miss the legendary St Mark's Square – a piazza dominated by the beautiful Byzantine basilica of St Mark and its belfry.

Maybe take a gondola ride, find as many bridges as you can and dip in and out of classic eateries – there's loads to do here. You'll make your own way to the port to leave Venice in the early evening and return to Croatia having seen one of Italy's top cities.

Definitely worth the early morning start to experience Venice, it was a great day. Optional extra tours to purchase on the boat, good value for money. We were told in advance these were cash only, although not sure why it’s not possible to pay with card. Also it was not possible to buy drinks and snacks on the boat. Again why? 4 hours on a boat with not being able purchase food and drink is quite poor.

We were given lots of useful information by our lovely TUI rep Nina so we knew to take cash & how much the additional services would be. The tour guides were very informative & helpful. I would recommend taking the additional services especially the transfers to & from Venice.

The tour was well organised but the final water taxi trip was pretty much pointless as we could not see out of the taxi. The guides were excellent by the way!

Great way to see a very small snapshot of Venice in a short time . We took the extra add on packages which was a lot of money but were informed beforehand how much and told we needed cash which was good as normally we don’t ! You could do it cheaper but this schedule meant we used our time efficiently . Guides were very good .

Although it was a VERY long day from Medulin we loved it! Excellent service throughout. Kompas staff were incredible and so knowledgeable. We used their guide services, except for lunch as we wanted to do our own thing. You should let customers know that they only accept cash for guide services. (€115 pp) We loved Venice and have ticked it off the bucket list.
