After pick up from your hotel, you'll travel into the centre of Corfu town where you'll be free to explore at your leisure. The city's turbulent history is reflected by the various influences you'll see as you wander through its narrow streets, soaking up its Italian and French flair, and grandiose British colonial buildings – there's even a cricket oval.

Whether you're in the mood for some retail therapy, a spot of people watching over a coffee, or want to take in the city's impressive mansions, picturesque squares, and ornate palaces, you'll have ample time to immerse yourself in what the city has to offer.

Simple transfer only booking coach was on time both ways

Return journey to hotel included an extra ¾ journey to the other side of the island to drop other guests off. They should have had their own transfer from that part of the island but TUI shoehorned them onto our bus. I can only assume to cut costs.

The transfer took 2.5 hrs, ridiculous! Such a shame as Corfu Town is a wonderful place to visit. It should have been a full day trip with a less convoluted pick-up route.

Overall, we enjoyed our day in corfu town. What let it down was that our driver was half an hour late picking us up, then he missed the last pick up, so had to turn back to collect them. I think he had trouble with his phone so wasn't getting his list up on it.

Effectively we had a short walk-about, lunch and another short walk before focus had to switch to catching the bus back to the hotel. If we were visiting Corfu Town again from our hotel in Boukari (an hour south of the town by road) we would look seriously at using the - slightly more expensive - local water taxis.

For what we paid completely not worth it. We got stuck in traffic for over a hour. So a 1hr or so travel turned into 2.5hrs. We then only had 3 hours to go about the town before the bus had to collect us again which is not enough time. Got food to eat in bus as no time to eat in restaurant and got told not allowed. Spent more time in bus than town. Very sad as to us completely waste of money for what we got.
