The whitewashed mountain villages of Andalusia are among the most authentic places to visit near the Costa de la Luz. On this trip, you'll explore the town of Ronda, perfectly perched-on-a cliff to take in the dramatic scenery of the Sierra.
You'll break up the hour and 45-minute journey with a 20-minute coffee break before reaching ancient Ronda, which straddles a gorge. It's claimed to be where Spanish traditions such as flamenco and bullfighting originated.
You'll be able to soak up its charm with free time to wander around the medieval streets and over the famous bridge that spans the gorge. You'll have around four hours to explore at your own pace. The Mondragon Palace, the Church of Santa Maria la Mayor or the Casa Don Bosco – which affords incredible views over the bridge – are all worth a visit.
