Marrakech medina and souks tour

3.4/5
42 reviews

Walking through Marrakech can only be described as a scene out of Scheherazade's ‘One Thousand and One Nights'. Spice-scented souks and tightly packed alleyways hiding blissful Arabian-style gardens and riads will immerse you in the city's captivating spirit. You'll visit top sights such as Jemaa el-Fnaa and the Medina.

Kick off your afternoon in style with a guided visit to the UNESCO-listed Medina. Its streaming food carts, eye-catching bazaars and street merchants shouting to invite you into their stalls make the atmosphere truly electric. Every corner holds a different aroma, sight and sound, and the more you explore, the more you'll feel like a local.

Head over to Jemaa el-Fnaa, the life and soul of Marrakech. Watch fruit and spice vendors selling their fresh produce and street performers entertain both locals and travellers alike. Finish off your arabesque adventure on a terrace cafe where you can sit down, relax and sip a refreshing drink as you get a bird's-eye view of the square.

Was useful to get an idea of the Mendia and Souks but if you book you its a guide through not a stop and shop trip. Guide was pleasant if you ask he would answer the questions rather then walking round giving you all history and facts. You do spend abit of time in the pharmacy it was interactive

Fascinating to see the Medina and Souks however the group was too large for one guide. The tour was also very different from the Reps description. The Rep advised we would have 45-60 minutes to shop round the Souks. The reality was we were taken to 2 gift shops and advised that was our opportunity to shop.

Really enjoyed the tour, English speaking guide and knowledge about the area and history of the city. Wish there was some time within the tour to spend shopping at the various souks rather than the nominated ones we were taken to who wouldn’t allow bartering. Time at the pharmacy was a little too long

The guide was knowledgeable and had a good sense of humour. It was a great introduction to the city and the unique area around the souks and the main square. The visit to the spice shop was really enjoyable. Less enjoyable was being left for 20 minutes in a souvenir shop. But overall, we really enjoyed ir.
