Sunset camel trek and barbecue experience

4/5
19 reviews

It's the classic mode of transportation in Morocco – a camel caravan. On this sunset tour, you'll tower above the dunes of Tamri Beach and ride alongside the Atlantic Ocean. Then round off the evening with a freshly sizzled barbecue dinner in the open air.

After pick-up from your hotel, you'll arrive at the beach ready for your sandy adventure. After a safety briefing, you'll sway, two people per camel, through the undulating dunes towards Tamri Beach where you'll have the best vantage point to spot the changing colours of the sunset.

After a leisurely 90-minute ride complete with sweeping views of the ocean, it's time to head for the ranch, surrounded by olive groves and palm trees with the Atlas Mountains in the distance. Unwind as we prepare a barbecue dinner under the evening sky.

Unfortunately we were picked up 30 minutes late. Small mini bus with no or poor air con. Very busy traffic (not TUI fault). We got 30 minutes on the camel (not the 90 minutes advertised) and we went up and down a rock beach, no sand dunes involved. Due to delays we missed the sunset. BBQ was fine, but please make people aware that canned drinks are not included. The experience of being on a camel was great and dressing up. No issue with staff. Paid a lot of money for a disappointing experience

Driver picked us up 30 minutes late Journey was 90 minutes & not 50 like i was told by the tui rep. It was cold and windy when we arrived We went along the beach on camels about 20 minutes (instead of one hour like we were expecting) Then taken to the bbq and music Rep promised vegetarian option but all I had was grated beetroot, carrots cucumber and tomatoes and dry bread. Drinks were offered then once drank we were charged for them on top of the amount already paid Wanted to come home.

A brilliant evening and well worth booking. About an hour’s bus journey from Agadir. Then a roughly 2km camel ride with excellent local guides into the Sahara desert. Mohammad is a fantastic guide and made sure everyone got lots of pictures to remember the experience.
