Exploring Mexico just got a whole lot easier. On this full day adventure, you'll tick off no less than four different activities. Start with a guided visit of the archaeological site of Tulum, then head to a cenote for a swim. Next, it's off to Akumal for a spot of snorkelling. Round off your day with lunch at a beach club. Carmen, one of our expert local guides, says, ‘The most photographed structure in the archaeological site is the Castillo, which is perched on a cliff overlooking the Caribbean Sea. The Castillo might be the most famous, but there are plenty of other ancient Mayan ruins to explore, such as the Temple of the Descending God and the Temple of the Frescoes.'

The marvels of the Mayan culture will be revealed on your guided tour around Tulum. You'll learn about it's past as a walled city, and its former role as a trading hub. After the tour you'll have free time to explore at your leisure. Next, prepare to be dazzled by colours at an ancient Mayan cenote, a natural cave with a freshwater pool fed by underground water sources and considered sacred by the Mayans.

After a cooling swim, we'll head for the picturesque seaside community of Akumal, known for its laid-back atmosphere, natural beauty, and abundant marine life. With its intriguing underwater world, Akumal offers one of the best snorkelling experiences in the Riviera Maya. Encounter an array of tropical fish, corals, and perhaps even sea turtles. To complete your day, unwind and indulge in a tasty meal at a nearby beach club.

- 9:15am – guided visit to Tulum

- 10:00am – free time to explore the archaeological site

- 10:45am – depart for the cenote

- 11:10am – arrive at the cenote and explore

- 12:00pm – depart for Akumal

- 12:30pm – arrive in Akumal for a snorkelling activity

- 1:30pm – depart for the beach club

- 2:00pm – arrive at the beach club and have lunch

- 3:30pm – transfer back to your hotel

The use of cameras in the cenote is limited
Please consider applying sunscreen well in advance of engaging in water activities
Minimum age for snorkeling is eight years old
The basic option (Basic Collection tour NO entrance fee) does not include the entrance and tax for Tulum nor taxes for swimming with turtles. These fees can be paid in cash on spot with the tour guide

Adei our guide was great. He kept us updated on what was next and told us exactly how to prepare. We got snacks throughout the day and ice cold water. The Cenote was sensational. Swimming with turtles was a once in a lifetime experience. The food was really good. A brilliant day that me and my family loved and will reflect on the memories for a lifetime

We paid a lot of money for a trip that unnecessarily had us in a cramped mini van for most of the day. The hotel pickups and bus changes added a huge amount of drive time both on the way and back. In addition to a long slow dirt road drive to and from the lunch location which wasn’t until after 3pm! The tour guide was good and the activities were nice but just not good value for money given drive time. We would look at private tour or taxi options next time.

What an amazing experience visiting Tulum the guide was very informative and kept us entertained you then had free time there. To then go to the cenote. I am claustrophobic and was worried but I managed it without any problem and felt safe and am so glad that I pushed myself to do it then onto see the Turtles which we did see I found this a bit manic not the fault of Tui or the guide a smaller group would be better then a meal which was lovely but could have done without

The guide and driver were very friendly and had good knowledge of the trip. Down side the bus could do with being bigger as everyone had and needed backpacks. The lunch was cold, everyone would have waited 5 to 10 minutes for warm chips/fries

The turtle snorkelling was very disappointing the sea was full of seaweed which not only made it difficult to swim it was difficult to see the turtles. I only saw two of the turtles and some of my family did not see any. The other parts of the trip were very interesting
