A popular resort on the island's most westerly point, the town has an impressive retail repertoire. You'll find duty-free bargains – cigars, perfumes, jewellery. Or for authentic Jamaican buys, on Norman Manley Boulevard you'll find the craft market.

Once you're shopped out, head to Rick's Café. This legendary cliff top venue is an institution for locals and tourists alike, who come to enjoy the chat, cold beers and Caribbean-American food. From late afternoon, it comes with a sideshow of daring locals trying to outdo each other as they leap from the cliffs.

We enjoyed the overall experience at Rick’s. Our driver/guide was excellent and looked after everyone well. You should be aware that male and female prostitution is evident at Rick’s and whilst they did not bother us, it did make us more wary and notably they have no obvious sanction from Rick’s.

Whole experience rushed. Driver arrived 35 late only had 20 min shopping. At ricks cafe driver told us once the sun had gone down at 18.32 to go straight back to the taxi

Apart from our transport being 1/2 hour late, it was a very good experience, at a reasonable price.

The shopping part of the trip was poor. Just stopped at a gift warehouse. Very expensive and not what I expected from a shopping trip. Rick's Cafe is was the main reason for the trip, and it did not disappoint. Great vibes, good music and dance, reasonable priced good quality drinks. Would visit again if in the area.
