Like rubies scattered across dazzling seas, the islands of La Maddalena are one of Sardinia's best-loved treasures. This cruise focuses on the archipelago's southern isles, with stops in la Maddalena and Spargi islands, and a few hours cruising by the pink granite coastlines of Santo Stefano and Caprera.

Casting off from Cannigione, we'll glide towards the two easternmost islands, Caprera and Santo Stefano. With rugged shorelines washed by fluorescent turquoise waters, they're to die for. From here, it's onto La Maddelana town on the main island. Explore the alleys radiating from the harbour and maybe see the 200-year-old unexploded bomb on display at the town hall or the silver ornaments Horatio Nelson left at Santa Maria church.

In the afternoon, we'll float over to Spargi. Drop anchor off this uninhabited island and savour lunch on board. Enjoy swimming from the beach or roam around one of the gorse-covered island's nature trails.

Would have liked a bit more time in the town to explore. Also, would have liked to have been given a bit more notice about how exposed to sun you are on the beach visits and fact that boats have to leave shore so no access to bathrooms

Crew were great, not sure the guide understood English that well as when asked questions she struggled to understand. Would have preferred a longer stay longer on magdalena and brought own lunch there, the second beach was disappointed and no shade. I think the this was a very long day. Advertised as 4-8 hours it was 11 hours. The lunch was mediocre very basic. The crew where very friendly and helpful, the coach driver drove safety and again was very friendly

On the boat they did not give any noticeable safety advice. Also a soft drink included with the simple pasta wpuld be welcome, especially as tempa were in the mid 30's , i think it coupd be included in the price. The visits were beautiful.

Overall the trip was good and got to see some beautiful scenery. Would have preferred to have spent longer at Maddalena and less time on the small beaches which were very overcrowded. I think the trip was overpriced. The boat was very crowded and there was standing room only. Probably wouldn’t recommend

We needed to have more time on La Maddalena, the boat was so crowded by the time you got off, it was time to get back on. Lunch was nice. Staff were pleasant on the boat, guide was nice, but not the sort of trip with much interaction.
