Skiathos is bursting with rugged Aegean charm, and there are few better ways to explore the island's secret spots than with this 60-kilometre, off-road 4x4 tour. You'll venture to Evangelistria Monastery and the former capital Kastro first. Then, take wow-factor photos over Elias Bay, swim at Kechira beach and drive through the famous Mandraki forest.
Start the morning by hopping into your 4x4 and heading deep into Skiathos along paths and roads that only an all-terrain vehicle can pass through. First up is the former capital, Kastro, where you'll learn about some of the island's different plant species and hear about one of Skiathos' most famous writers, Alexandros Papadiamantis. From here, you'll make tracks to Agia Anastasia, a mysterious spot that's loaded with folktales, and visit the church of Agios Alexandros – it's famed for some of the best views on the island.
Next, you'll explore the beautiful Evangelistria Monastery, where you can also look around the museum – it costs two euros to visit and this isn't included in your booking. Afterwards, you'll stop at Platanos Restaurant where you can treat yourself to lunch if you fancy it. Mandraki Beach is nearby, too, where you're free to go for a swim before starting the journey back to your accommodation.
