You'll visit the forests and fortresses that surround Mount Olympus, the home of Greek mythology's main characters, on this full-day adventure. Get started with a look around the theatre and temple ruins at the Zeus Archaeological Site in Pieria. Then, step it up with a hike through the pine forests of the Enipeas Canyon. Criss-crossing the river and passing its waterfalls will have you feeling like you've stepped into a fantasy novel. The scenery continues at Platamonas Castle, a Medieval fortress perched at the edge of the Aegean and at your final stop, too, Old Panteleimonas village. Here, you'll have free time to shop, eat and explore the cobbled streets with Mount Olympus framing your photos.

Die beste Sicht auf den Olymp war leider aus dem fahrenden Bus auf dem Hinweg, da hätten wir uns einen kleinen Fotostopp gewünscht. Die Reiseleiterin war sehr nett und kompetent. Sehr schön war der Aufenthalt im alten Bergdorf zum Abschluss der Rundfahrt.

Mooie uitstap, met wisselende indrukken. Jammer dat de geboekte taal niet wordt gerespecteerd; zonder enig bericht rond taalwijziging (ik boekte een Engelstalige uitstap), kwam ik terecht in een ééntalig Duitse groep (is jammer genoeg niet de eerste keer dat ik dit via Tui meemaak)
