Admission ticket to the Cité Immersive Viking in Rouen

Step into an immersive experience that brings the Viking Age to life at the Cité Immersive Viking in Rouen. With your ticket, you'll follow a multi-sensory journey across six themed rooms, where history unfolds through a mix of storytelling and digital technology.

As you move through the exhibition, you'll explore the story of Normandy and its origins as the land of the Northmen. The journey begins over 1,000 years ago, when Viking groups from Scandinavia arrived in Western Europe. You'll discover how a political agreement led a Viking leader to become the founder of the Norman territory.

Five dedicated spaces guide you through the key stages of Viking settlement, from early raids and encampments to the establishment of peace and the lasting legacy they left behind. Along the way, a combination of video portraits, artefacts, recreated settings and multimedia displays helps to illustrate daily life and the identity of the first Normans.

You'll also hear the story of Rollon the Walker, trace Viking journeys across distant lands, and learn about their expansion into regions such as England and Sicily. The experience blends historical content with sensory elements to create an engaging and accessible narrative.

The visit ends in a contemplative space, where you can enjoy a visual and sound creation designed to evoke a journey through time and space.
