Krka National Park and Waterfalls Tour

4.5/5
366 reviews

Experience the ultimate in natural beauty at Krka National Park, one of Croatia's wildest natural treasures. You'll get a chance to breathe in the freshest of airs and explore the waterfall-splashed landscape of Skradinski Buk. There's also a visit to Stella Croatica, famous for its handmade goods. Peter, one of our local guides, says, 'Krka National Park isn't just a nature-lover's haven, but also a place of historical and cultural importance. Within the park, you'll find several old fortresses, remnants of ancient Roman settlements, and medieval monasteries'.

You'll begin your adventure with a visit to Stella Croatica, where you can indulge in some local, handmade delicacies and taste local flavours. And as you arrive into Krka National Park, prepare to be immersed into a day of exploration. Scenic wooden walkways weave through a breathtaking landscape dotted with waterfalls and tranquil lakes, offering stunning views and photo opportunities along the way. You'll also have the opportunity to learn about local traditions and visit a historic water mill.

But the highlight of your visit is sure to be Skradinski Buk – a spectacular natural pool framed by 17 cascading waterfalls, creating a dramatic and photogenic backdrop. This area is not only a feast for the eyes but also a vital habitat for diverse wildlife. Keep your eyes peeled for the park's varied birdlife, including nightingales, herons, falcons, and owls, which add to the park's natural allure. You'll have some free time here to explore and also grab a bite to eat.

A lovely day. Stella Croatica was a great first stop with lots of information. We would have really liked there to be a cafe there so we could have a drink before moving on to the Waterfalls. The falls are well-managed and the views keep getting better and better. Our guide was great and full of life.

The guide was excellent, very informative and made sure we were all happy. Driver was excellent. Visit to Olive Museum was interesting, we had a guide there too. At Krka we knew the path we had to take and what time to meet back at the coach. No complaints at all. Excellent excursion.

Trip was well worth it. Good idea to precede the KRKA National Park with a visit to the olive factory. Much better than a motorway service station. We found the final bit of the Park difficult with its extensive stairs up to the free toilet area.

Our guide was brilliant and very knowledgeable. The park was beautiful. Only downside was there was only one water filling station at the toilets. Given the heat and humidity there needs to be more so you dont have to keep going back to refill. More seating round the walk trail would be good too
