Currently one of Poland's official national Historic Monuments – and a designated UNESCO World Heritage Site – the salt mines feature dozens of statues and four chapels the miners carved out of the rock salt, along with extra carvings made by contemporary artists.

Great experience just be prepared to walk down lots of stairs. The guide was friendly and informative. The pick up and drop off went smoothly and was only a short walk from our hotel.

Bilen og manden der kørte, var ok. Synes ikke der var meget service, i salt minen. Vi blev jaget afsted rundt i saltminen, hvor der næsten ikke var tid til billeder og se. Kunne næsten ikke hører guiden, det sagde flere, men hun kunne ikke skrue højere op. Da vi endelig kom ud, mødte vi de andre fra bilen, det tog os et godt stykke tid at finde bilen, da man kom ud, et helt andet sted.

Communicatie voor de start via mail was duidelijk,ook tav opstapplek. Op tijd aanwezig ! Waren met totaal 4 personen ( 2 uit Canada) Veel en goede uitleg over de historie van Auswitchz en Birkenau. Kregen een informatief boekje te leen voor gebruik, later inleveren ,jammer! Starten in Birkenau was een juiste , daarna opgehaald en door naar Auswitchz (3 km verder) Ondanks lichte sneeuw die dag een juiste omlijsting van de trieste omgeving. Een goede terugreis in 1,2 uur en op de juiste plek
