This 4x4 tour seeks out a few of the best-kept secrets in Thassos. You'll rumble down tracks to three beaches – Marble, Paradise and Astris – in just one day.

Buckle up and get ready to venture down dusty tracks to find Thassos's best beaches. The first one will be Marble beach, also known as Saliara, named after the white marble dust from the quarries above that's settled on the beach – the effect is truly mesmerising.

Then, you'll soon be off to Paradise beach, and you'll see why it's been called that – forest-topped rocks embrace this smile of sandy beach. You'll also swing by Astris, right on the southern tip. You can either seek out a taverna for some lunch, or kick back on the beach.

Only one beach i loved the Paradise beach marble no good no shade the last beach no eating facilities if I had known we could have stayed the entire time at Paradise beach. Unfortunately its too far from the hotel so expensive to go. If I was selling this experience myself I would ask who needed what beach to have one out of three was bit expensive if left their all day great.

Our guide was fantastic really knowledgeable and great fun we liked the quieter beaches and he was happy to accommodate.

This was a very poor experience overall. There were 6 of us crammed into the car. My teenage sons were sat in seats in the boot which were far too small for them. We didn’t get to the first beach until 1 hour 45 mins of driving and we all felt very sick from being driven too fast round winding roads. There was limited structure to the day with the driver asking us where we wanted to go. This was in August when all the beaches were very busy and no sun loungers available and so no shade. Awful!!!

Firstly the jeep was far too cramped for 7 people and was very uncomfortable. The quality of the car was very poor with the seats falling apart and fabric completely ripped. The tour itself- the first beach that we drove 1.5 hours to get to was closed, the second beach was fine (which was a replacement of beach 1) and the following 2 beaches had no seats/beds available and totally packed. It was not worth the money and spent more time in the car.

Overall the day was fab. Saw 3 beaches, 2 of which if we’d hired a car we wouldn’t have seen due to the rough terrain. We went to Marble, Paradise and another which was on the journey back and we had time to stop. Driver was really welcoming, comical to talk to and experienced. Down side to the experience was that there was 6 of us in the vehicle, myself and partner sat in the very back, it was uncomfortable and less enjoyable. 4 guests would have been a more comfortable number.
