Discover extraordinary paintings, decorative arts, furniture, photographs, and royal treasures at The King's Gallery, one of Scotland's most esteemed exhibition venues. Located at the entrance to the historic Palace of Holyroodhouse, the gallery showcases a rotating programme of exhibitions drawn from the Royal Collection, one of the largest and most significant art collections in the world.
Originally built within the shell of a former 19th-century church and school building, the gallery was officially inaugurated in 2002. During your visit, you'll delve into the current exhibition and gain a deeper understanding of the artworks with the help of a multimedia guide. You'll also have access to the Palace's public gardens, providing splendid views and a tranquil setting in the heart of Edinburgh.
