As combinations go, it's hard to beat a sunset cruise with a dolphin-watching expedition. But that's exactly what this evening excursion is all about. You'll sail on a superfast boat off the coast of Puerto del Carmen and search for dolphins, and then watch the sun sink into the horizon. What's more, sparkling wine and pastries are included.

The Biosfera sails from Puerto del Carmen marina early in the evening. For more than two hours, your captain will take you to waters famed for their dolphins. Sightings are not guaranteed – but the skipper will spare no effort to search for them. Dolphins are spotted on a high proportion of cruises. Information on dolphins is provided on board. As the boat zooms along the Atlantic, you'll be served Cava and pastries.

And soon it'll be time for the other big show – sunset. The colours depend on the day and cloud cover but pink, gold and scarlet skies are a common sight. For the return back to port, the Biosfera will cruise past volcanic cliffs and secluded coves. A magical evening.

Dolphins sightings are not guaranteed. Bring a light jacket. Children under five years must remain seated with their parents at all times

While sightings can't be 100% guaranteed due to this conservation-focused effort, we'll try our best to make sure you see them

Teddy was just brilliant at what he does . Very engaging with each one of us . A great sense of humour and thoughtful . We had a great sighting of dolphins especially swimming alongside the boat ! Life jackets ?

The trip was amazing teddy the guide was fabulous and obviously a expert in his job as he found lots of dolphins for us to see which was amazing the trip from getting on the boat to getting off was such a memorable occasion I would highly recommend it

Enjoyed the whole experience, Teddy and the,crew were amazing they had so much knowledge and looked after us the whole trip. Seeing the dolphins was breathtaking, so beautiful. Teddy even gave me a bottle of bubbly as it was my birthday. I would definitely book this trip.

A nice gentle ride out for just over an hour. We didn't see any wildlife, but a slowly setting sun. Then our pilot put the hammer down...... WOW what a ride back. Leaping and jumping all over the place, I've never done that before. That is a must do?? We berthed by the dock for some snacks, then word came. Dolphin have been signed by another craft. So off we went. We weren't disappointed, first one then a couple of dolphins leaping out of the sea. Then a bus ride back to our hotel, more sedated.
