Lanzarote's rugged north is in the spotlight on this guided walk, which sees you conquering the heady heights of La Corona volcano, Famara cliffs and the highest point on the island, Peñas del Chache. You'll hike about 9km while experiencing the overpowering beauty of the island.

It all kicks off in the town of Ye from where you'll join your guide to scale La Corona volcano. You'll trek across lunar-like landscapes, look out over vine-covered hills and peek inside a lava tunnel, too. From the top, you can expect some jaw-dropping views of the Famara cliffs, which will be your next destination.

These cliffs rise 500m out of the sea to form one of Lanzarote's most impressive natural sights, and you'll be able to see the Chinijo Archipelago from the edge.You'll round off the trek heading up to the island's highest point, Peñas del Chache.

Very cool hike. First you see the Corona crater and then you walk along the coast with amazing views on La Graciosa. The guide was super friendly, multilingual (English/French/…) and knowledgable. Some paths were very steep uphill or along a cliff. The guide made sure we felt safe and offered alternative routes. The pick up was smooth in a van for 8 people. The car ride was about half an hour. We took a nice break during the hike and got a snack. We recommend bringing jacket if it’s windy.

The hike has a couple of steep climbs on uneven ground and a descent on a cliff path- so would recommend for experienced and fairly fit walkers - we covered nearly 9km. The pace was accommodating and we stopped for breaks. Snacks provided for half way. Essential to take water with you. It was absolutely perfect for us and would recommend highly.

We had a wonderful, friendly and considerate guide who gave us a great opportunity to study the environment and flowering plants, with some excellent weather thrown in. A snack was included, transport was by minibus and we divided into two walking groups, each of less than ten people.
