This excursion offers contrasting ways to discover the hidden Algarve. In a 4x4, you'll roam through a nature reserve, head into the hills, stumbling upon timeless villages along the way. And you'll also visit country homes and enjoy a relaxing river cruise.

On the 4x4 tour, you'll explore the Algarve's less-visited corners, seeing locals carry out their age-old customs. There's a stop in an organic farm along the way. Another highlight is when the convoy zigzags through the marshland Nature Reserve of Sapal de Castro Marim e Vila Real do San Antonio.

Lunch is special, too. You'll drop into a country estate for a local dishes washed down with wine. It overlooks the River Guadiana and the whitewashed hamlet of Foz de Odeleite. There's time for a swim and to listen to the rhythms of live music, too. And there's also a cruise on the Guadiana to look forward to. Sit back and take in the views of Spain and Portugal – the river is the border between the two.

We was not told that journey would be an hour and twenty to get there and the same back. We was told to bring warm clothes but it red hot. You must tell people about all these things. Yes the people were lovely but it spoilt it for my wife and myself with these things.

The trip was informative & good fun with an excellent barbecue included

Lovely day out in the countryside. We saw places we would not have found on our own. The jeep safari was good fun and we did see a flock of pink flamingos. We were served lunch by the jeep drivers. All the food was produced locally and was delicious. The singing afterwards was very entertaining and we were invited to join in the chorus’s. There was live music on the boat trip back down the river whilst we enjoyed the scenery. All in all an excellent day out.

This trip is well worth booking. We didn’t see many flamingos in the national park in fact it was quite sparse but it didn’t matter, the driver and whole experience was great. The off road track looking out of the top of the Land Rover was hilarious. The food was lovely and all of the drivers and staff sang for us after lunch. We finished off with a boat cruise and again the staff were entertaining. Thoroughly enjoyed it.

Staff were amazing absolutely enjoyed every minute the tour guide Ritchie very knowledgeable had lots of time for us. I made us so welcome. Cannot rate this highly enough. The whole team absolutely brilliant made my holiday.
