This walk is all about experiencing Madeira's varied landscapes and levadas in one day. You'll meander along valleys on the Levada do Moinho, catching sight of fruit and vegetable plantations, then join the Levada Nova to see waterfalls in amongst rock formations. You'll have earnt your ice-cool drink by the end.

We'll kick off the adventure from one of the oldest quintas on the island, Quinta ‘Solar dos Esmeraldos', where the Levada do Moinho takes us into the Ribeira da Ponta do Sol valley. Pass by terraced fields, blooming with blackberries and more, then before you reach Levada Nova, there's some photo-worthy views over the valley and sea below.

Now you'll amble along the rocky levada, hopping across a riverbed to where stunning waterfalls thunder over it. Catch their spray to cool off, then continue along the path to more waterfalls cutting through the rocks.

Unser Guide war sehr nett und hat sich sehr darum gekümmert dass wir alle, vor allem an unsicheren Stellen der Levada, uns sicher und wohl fühlten. Besonders der Teil der Levada Nova hat uns sehr gefallen, mit dem Wasserfall als Highlight der Tour. Die 10km Strecke waren durchaus machbar. Trotz der etwas großen Gruppe von ca. 25 Leuten, konnte man auch mal stehen bleiben um Fotos zu machen oder sich die schöne Landschaft anzuschauen. Der Preis ist unserer Meinung nach etwas hoch.

Prachtige wandeling olv een deskundige gids. Voor mij de eerste keer een georganiseerde hike, vond het erg prettig en had eigenlijk amper door dat we in een groep liepen. Erg genoten van de mooie uitzichten , tunnels en watervallen.

Mooie afwisselende wandeling met een goede gids die veel wist en vertelde. Prachtige waterval onderweg. Aanrader!

Die einheimische Führerin hat sehr kompetent und nett die Wanderung geführt.

Linda hat uns sehr gut geleitet und hat uns viel über die Vegetation erzählt. Das war sehr interessant. Tolle Streckenauswahl. Der Busfahrer hat uns sicher und ruhig gefahren.

Es war eine super Tour, nur das Wetter war das Problem. Was aber die Tour mit 4,5 Stunden Dauerregen unvergesslich machte. Wasser von oben, der Seite und unten.

Trotz der etwas großen Gruppe von ca. 25 Leuten, konnte man auch mal stehen bleiben um Fotos zu machen oder sich die schöne Landschaft anzuschauen. Der Preis ist unserer Meinung nach etwas hoch.
