For a Funchal walking tour, it'd be tough to find a better guide than a student of Madeira University's Heritage program. Our tour guide was amazing, she was super informative and knew lots about Funchal (I think her name was Julia, she was from the Netherlands). We got to see so much of the city that we wouldn’t have otherwise known about. I can’t recommend her highly enough. The only downside was that Tui advertised this walk with a wine tasting experience at the end. We were shown Blandy’s Wine Lodge, however, there was no wine tasting included. Instead we walked back there and paid for this ourselves.
