Enjoy the Algarve's great outdoors with a double dose of adventure on both land and sea. You'll combine a cruise to the famous Benagil grottoes with the Seven Hanging Valleys trail – one of Europe's best hikes.

With an experienced guide by your side, we'll set off on a four-kilometre scenic route that runs from Praia da Marinha in the east, to Praia do Carvalho in the west. Hiking along dramatic clifftop trails and through wildlife-packed woodland, highlights include the Alfanzina lighthouse and a host of beautiful beaches. If you're lucky, you may even spot an animal or two – this area of outstanding natural beauty is home to rabbit, fox, mongoose and more.

The walk ends in the seaside town of Ferragudo, where you'll have some free time to explore or have a bite to eat, before heading to Portimão for the next leg of the adventure. Hop in a boat, and we'll round off with a cruise along the coastline to Algar Sêco and Benagil grottoes – two incredible caves carved by the passage of time.

In the event of adverse sea conditions the boat tour will instead be replaced for two hours of free time to explore Portimao

The route, views and lunch stop was good. The boat seats were uncomfortable and we weren’t advised to take a wind/waterproof jacket as even though it was a hot day it got cold on the boat. Finally! The mini bus driver didn’t fill us with confidence as he drove erratically around bends and roundabouts between destinations which made it very uncomfortable.

Really enjoyable day out. They cut the walk a bit shorter during the hotter months so don't expect a really long walk. Enjoyed the places along the walk to stop and swim. We had plenty of time to get something to eat in a pretty village. Rib ride in the afternoon was great fun. Guide was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. The coastline along the walk and the boat ride is beautiful.

What a wonderful day out! The scenery is stunning! Very knowledgeable guide. Walk is not too taxing and the guide knew exactly where to go and how to navigate the terrain to make it a safe and enjoyable journey for everyone. The RIB ride was thrilling. The sea was wild so we couldn't go into the caves, but we didn't feel we missed out as the ride along the coast was wonderful. They did provide a very tasty sandwich, bottle of water and orange for lunch. Plenty of breaks to rest highly recommend
