Mt. Etna is the highest active volcano in Europe and a true icon of Sicily. By coach, cable-car and minibus you‘ll ascend 2900 mts above sea level to the famous mountains main crater. What's more, on this full day experience, you‘ll get to visit one of Italy's most beautiful towns too.

Perched on a clifftop overlooking sweeping bays, Taormina is home to some of the best-preserved historic landmarks in the world. Take time to sip a cappuccino in the Piazza Nove Aprile, browse the chic boutiques, or check out the town's star attraction – its ancient Greek-Roman theatre. Whatever you do, you'll have free time to spend as you like, exploring one of the prettiest towns in Italy.

As well as getting your fill of sightseeing, you'll visit Mount Etna – Europe's highest volcano. But the coach can only take you so far. So you'll grab a cable car or an all-terrain vehicle and journey up to 2,900 metres for the grandstand views atop this historic landmark.

It was far too long. From a 14 hour day we spent 9 hours on the coach. We lost 2.5 hours to drop offs and pick ups. Eg we were picked up at 6.40am, but didn’t get on our way till 8.15am. Absurd. Please reduce the group size and be up front about the travel times. The destinations themselves were fine but ruined by the travel in a cramped coach. Will not recommend to friends.

I really enjoyed this trip the guide was very informative and and very friendly. I felt well liked after and she made feel safe and secure!

We enjoyed the day, however needed more time in Taormina, would have preferred separate trips. Etna was good, but too long there. Taormina was interesting but not enough time to explore, get a drink and have something to eat. Long coach journey, 6+ hours all in.

Transfer was an hour and a half whereas Palermo airport was fifty minutes away. Great hotel luxury accommodation. Hotel needed more seating for the evening.

I'd have liked longer in Taormina and I never want to go up another volcano in a cable car as long as I live! The tour would have been cheaper booking at the hotel. All that said, the guide was exceptional and the coach driver gave us the best Italian driving exhibition you could ever imagine. Loved it!
