Saariselka husky sleigh tour

There was not enough rep service ahead of the experience as we had to call the service company to see if the coach was en route. The duration of the ride was also much shorter than advertised which was disappointing given the price of the experience.

If anyone does not enjoy this lifetime experience of steering or sitting on a sled pulled by husky dogs through a winter wonderland in the Arctic Circle then there is something seriously wrong with them! Yes it's pricey but worth every Euro!

The advert says a 2-4 hour excursion but your only on the husky’s for 25 minutes. So expensive for what it is. Wish I knew sooner

It was an exceptionally cold day on the day of our husky tour! No blankets were offered for the people in the sleigh! This meant all the youngest children that had to sit at the front were got very cold and many were crying! The dogs had run a lot that day and the sleigh in front of ours was having problems with the dogs keep stopping this meant we all had to stop constantly! On return no warm drinks were ready to help us warm up! No warning about the hot stove and a couple of people burnt!

We were given 6 dogs for what the guide said needed 8, they were on their 4th run of the day, and one was limping the whole way, resulting in me running the whole track. Headed like cattle in a money grabbing activity, not the “magical experience” advertised. No care for animal welfare nor the enjoyment of people paying nearly a thousand pounds for the experience, just one bus in, one bus out.

Loved the unique experience. Could improve on spacing out the guests a bit more so that the huskies didn’t have to keep stopping as they were getting too close to other groups.
