You're in for an authentic taste of Cyprus on this adults-only tour through the Troodos Mountains, where food is a cornerstone of the local culture. You'll eat your way from village to village – visiting Laneia, Agros and another mountain village to taste its wines. Heading out of Paphos, the journey begins in Laneia with a short, guided tour of the village where you'll see the warm Cypriot greeting of kopiaste – ‘come join us' – in action all around the flower-scented, photogenic, cobbled streets. Next, it's on to Agros to taste its famous homemade spoon sweets, made from fruit preserved in syrup.
You'll drive north to the largest of these mountain villages, Pelendri, where you'll tuck into a typical Cypriot lunch in a traditional taverna, before finishing the day at a nearby winery. Here, in the heart of the Troodos Mountains, you'll learn about the art of wine-making and sip your way through a tasting session.
