Unforgettable Venice from Pula including Medulin

4.4/5
42 reviews

Built on more than 100 islands, Venice is famed for its network of dusky-blue canals, lined with elaborate architecture and criss-crossed by beautiful stone bridges. And this day trip from Istria to Venice sees you crossing the Adriatic Sea by boat for a chance to explore with free time in this romantic Italian city.

You'll arrive in style into San Basilio pier, right in the heart of Venice, to begin your discovery of 'La Serenissima.' As you wander through this fabled place, there's plenty of time to spot some of the city's highlights. Don't miss the legendary St Mark's Square – a piazza dominated by the beautiful Byzantine basilica of St Mark and its belfry.

Maybe take a gondola ride, find as many bridges as you can and dip in and out of classic eateries – there's loads to do here. You'll make your own way to the port to leave Venice in the early evening and return to Croatia having seen one of Italy's top cities.

We should have been told beforehand that the kompass boat crew only took cash for the guided tour & meal. & refreshments on board.

The guides were simply brilliant - approachable informative and ran a very tight ship - the trips they offered on board were brilliant we opted not to take on the meal as wanted to fulfill our goals and feedback was the meal was poor so we made the right decision with that - great fun soooo enjoyable the checking in process was the only thing that let it down with the speed but a unforgettable trip

Overall we enjoyed the trip the ferry crossing was long but very pleasant there was food and drinks on offer as well and the toilets were clean, despite what we had heard,I thought the package on offer was reasonable (gondala ride/boat taxi ride) were good value,we opted for the meal as well which in hindsight was our only mistake, the restaurant wasn't ready for us (even though bookings were in advance,) we lost precious site seeing time,, and the meal was not good.but Venice is a must see

It’s stated as 8hours. It’s actually 1hr hotel to pula with pick ups, 4h travel, 5h in Venice, then check in times, 4h back and 1h back 10h travelling, 5h in Venice and then over an hour check in either side. Venice was ok. Many boats, not quaint, street sellers were just fridge magnets, masks and t shirts

One word brilliant, and this was not a TUI trip all TUI did was take the money for the crossing from Pula to Venice.
