Head to one of Sal's premier riding schools, where you'll be paired up with your trusty steed, given your helmet and taken to either the expanses of the salt pans or a wide sweeping beach. Let the fresh air fill your nostrils as you settle into the soothing rhythm of well-trained horse – taking in the unspoilt scenery as you amble along.

This horse riding tour on Sal is great for families and groups of all levels of experience. Choose from three options ranging from a shorter beginners ride to a longer advanced ride.

We had to stand and wait at entrance for 15 mins no where to sit when walked told not allowed over there. When given horses said previously ridden so got slowest horse just 2 of us and two staff who talked amongst themselves whole time and rope attached to them follow my leader not like previous riding in turkey

No other dates available poor service by TUI has spoilt our holiday the main reason why we came back to Cape Verde was for the horse riding no genuine apology or explanation very disappointed

I enjoyed galloping along the beach and the scenery was very good. The horse welfare seemed to be good and the guides were helpful and attentive. Some parts were slightly less scenic but still enjoyable.

Great for all riding experiences. Beginners are guided, but all experience the trot to cantering along the beach in the surf. Guides are knowledgeable and the horses are lovely.

I enjoyed galloping along the beach and the scenery was very good. The horse welfare seemed to be good and the guides were helpful and attentive. Some parts were slightly less scenic but still enjoyable.
